Cowpeas contain calcium, iron, folate, potassium and other minerals and vitamins, and they also contain health benefits linked to heart disease and cancer
There are several dishes prepared from cowpeas, the most important of which are cowpeas with meat, cowpeas in oil, cowpea maqluba, and cowpea soup
